I agree with Obama…kinda. Why? It’s stupid to make fun of Obama for a suggestion that involves personal conservation when it could be so much worse (i.e. government restrictions). Yes, it was framed in the context of ANWAR but attack exactly that – not the tire gauge bit. A terrible cheap shot. PRAGMATICALLY POLITICAL knows what I’m talking about.

The problem is that Obama was saying efficiency tips will allow us not to drill for oil here. Sorry, but those tips cannot replace drilling. Most people already take care of their cars through oil changes, filter changes and tire inflation. Driving 55 is another issue all together and I would venture to guess Obama as President will force states to lower the speed limit back to 55.
If Obama is going to mock drilling and call me ignorant for supporting it, I can mock him for telling me to inflate my tires.

I agree with you completely. I was more venting my frustration with the Republican crowd mocking Obama for his “tire gauge” energy policy.
